James has been wanting a ferret for quite sometime now. He kept talking about it for months, and honestly, the little buggers are pretty cute. So finally, Sunday, we got one. James named him Titus. He's three months old and looks like this:
He is so friggin' sweet. He is three months old. We got him for 1/2 price because he'd been at the pet store a while and all the others were 6 weeks-8 weeks old.
We call him Spaz Rat because he LOVES to play and he'll completely wig out when he has a chance. He runs, attacks various objects, flips over, does flips in the air, jumps against the wall, rolls around... He's so funny. He loves to chase balls and anything moving...
...Including kitties. Micah and Boo, well, we were at first worried that they'd eat the poor little guy! He's only about a third their size, if even! The first day they watched him from afar, and we made sure they didn't try to munch him for a snack. But the next day he saw Micah walking from one room to the other and took off after him! After that, it was over for the cats. He LOVES chasing them all over the house. Yesterday he cornered Micah in the bathroom. Micah tried to jump on the toilet seat and almost fell in :-)
When we're home we let him run around. It's amusing to see him walk into our bedroom. Within three minutes both cats are slinking out with their ears down. About a half hour later he'll have made it to the guest bedroom, and we'll watch the cats scurry back into our bedroom, ears down. If he notices them he'll chase them and try to attack!
This morning I brought him into the bathroom to play while James and I got ready for the day. James was in the shower and he snuck in. He LOVED the water. He jumped and spazzed out completely, banging into the walls and then running back on the tile. He realized he could slide on the tile better when he was wet so he'd jump into the shower, play with James's feet, and then run out again and slide all over the floor.
OMG he's cute.
