I sit on the bed
Excited...
My heart pounding.
My toes creep under the sheets
then my ankles
and my legs.
I pull the covers to my chin
and smile.
Tonight
I will meet new people
I will go to new places
I will learn new things.
I will imagine.
Tonight
I can be anyone.
I can be anywhere.
I can be anything.
