I have to say...
Jun. 4th, 2004 11:44 amWedding planning is a heck of a lot easier than I ever dreamed it would be. I remember when a good friend of mine was getting married, everything was picked in such precise detail as to be nauseating. They would debate this and that, and this, and that.... *headache*
When they were picking musicians they wanted to audition all of them, see every detail of every little thing. My gosh! Anyway, I'm feeling pretty lucky because James and my dad (the major ones involved in this ASPECT of the wedding planning - mom's helping tons with other very important areas) are so laid back and cool. James's response to most everything is, "Sure, babe! Sounds good!"
Dad and I saw pictures from Casa Ybel of various weddings done there and we'll probably just copy a template. So as far as things go I called two guitarists yesterday. One of them has really nice music on his website (www.deanmiller.com) and we're going to go with him. Conversation:
"Dad, I listened to his website and it's good."
"Okay, Jen. You like him?"
"Yup."
"Sounds good to me. Book him."
Ahhh... virtually effortless planning. The hardest thing, I think, will be the wedding invitations. And if that's the case, that's not too bad. :-)
