Maybe we do need to move..
Jul. 12th, 2004 01:09 pmSchool may be more difficult than I thought. Not just because it's law school, either. But because we live in West Palm and school is in South Miami. At first we were talking about my taking the train, and I thought it was only like two or two and a half hours one way (which is still a lot, but manageable). I figured my classes start at 8:30am, which means I just need to leave by about 6:00. We can do that. We've done it before.
Right.
Thursday I will be taking the day off of work to actually take the train down there, so I spent a bit of time today figuring out just what I need to do. IF I am to make an 8:30am class here would be my itinerary:
4:20am train
6:10am metrorail
6:30am metrobus
7:45am arrive at school
~~Attend classes~~
4:00pm leave by bus
5:10pm metrorail
5:30pm train
7:28 arrive back at the WPB station.
If I am to get 8 hours of sleep at night I would have to go to bed by... *quick calculations*... 7:30pm.
It's sounding more and more like all I would be coming back here for is to sleep. Driving isn't an option. We could afford another car, but I can't afford $600/mth just in gas to drive to school.
Moving's not really an option, although we may have to look into that a bit more. Our place should cost $300 more than we're paying - we got a great deal on a beautiful villa in a lovely neighborhood. Go down to Boca and even ghetto apts that are smaller than ours are $1200/mth. Further south of there is even more expensive. The closer to Miami you get, the more you pay. It's pretty bad.
Right.
