In other pet news, I seriously and truly think Sophia has a penchant for naughtiness. She's *always* going after my necklaces. So I finally got one that she could destroy. She played with it while it was around my neck, but when I gave it to her on her basket, she lost interest. And even now, when I put it on, she'd totally rather work on my bra straps. Because she's actually *allowed* to have this necklace, she doesn't want it. How's that for bad bird??

"I only want the things I'm not allowed to have. I'm small and cute, so this is acceptable."

And of course, both girls say "Up." When one wants up, and annoucnes it, they both start chiming "Up! Up! Up? Up!" Kind of funny. And Athie now says, "NO!" in a very low, stern, mad-Jen voice. This morning on the patio she sat on the swing declaring "No. No! NO!" to nobody in particular.

Pet Limericks

Oh yeah, I forgot... Wills & Trusts law inspires creativity. Here are some limericks I wrote about my critters last Tuesday night! Bad poetry alert!

Sophia is one of my parrots
She never eats her carrots
If I give her the greens
She'll nibble the beans
But the other good food gets no merit.

Athie and Soph like to play
They sing and destroy all the day
When Soph gets a pen
She'd best run at a ten
Or Ath'll steal it right away.

ATh's a smart little fid
Her vocab's like a five-year-old kid
When it's time to say "Bye!"
She'll cry out "WHY??"
And leave you scratching your head

Ath and Soph on the patio go
They climb the chairs to and fro
But if a human's in sight
They'll suddenly take flight
And land on your head with "Hello!"

Spinks is a cute little cat
One thing she isn't is fat
She requires to dine
Thrice daily, on time
A plate of fancy feast on a mat.
