Something scared the parrots...

Something scared the girls last night. I still don't know what it was--nothing looked out of the ordinary. They'd been out playing in the office for an hour or so before bed, but when I came in to put them away, they were both all upset. Athie completely refused to go into her cage--despite multiple attempts by both J and myself. Sophia got into the cage. I just thought Athie was acting up until I went to bed and realized Sophie was still calling out--unusual, and in a fearful tone.
When I got her she was shaking, and Athie, having refused to go into her cage, was also in a corner of the room on some books, obviously upset. I held Soph for a while, settling her down before bed, but she wouldn't settle down, and looked petrified of her cage. She kept glancing around to it, and then hiding her face in my shirt. When I tried to put her on/in her cage she would have nothing to do with it.
She's only slept in my bed one other time--I'm afraid of rolling over on her, so don't as a rule let her in the bed, but I did let her sleep next to me last night. In the middle of the night I again tried to put her into her cage to go to sleep. (Athie occasionally sleeps on our comforter, under her own blankie, and was doing this tonight b/c she was so upset.) As I approached the room, Soph's crest went up, and she scooted on my shoulder next to my cheek, pressing against it hard. When I got into the room, Soph's tail fanned, she began shaking, and she again dug her face into my shirt. She wouldn't go into her cage/on her cage and hated being in the room!
I tried to coax her into it, to no avail. She fluffed out her cheek feathers in typical "please don't torture me I'm such an angel I'll die if you leave me there!" fashion, obviously scared. I brought her back to bed with me and cuddled her to calm her down.
This morning I put her in the room b/c I have to work, etc., and she probably didn't get much sleep either! Athie's in there now, too, but both are still upset. Soph's on the door of her cage (outside), sitting as far from her actual cage as she can...
I can't figure out what they are upset over! Maybe a bug got into her cage? (I can't see how that would be too alarming--we live in FL and they are on the patio during the day, I'm sure they see bugs!) We don't have rodents... I don't think a snake could have gotten in there...
I don't know what to think!

Poor goofy baby. Poor tired parrot-mama! ;)
