The girls are *obsessed* with beads, of late.
Athie looks quite like Tyrannasaurus Rex, only it's odd to see her stomping around chasing a neon-green bead, catch it, throw it, huff in excitement and anticipation, fly-jump over onto it, and chase it again. She needs to become less clumsy if she's going to maintain this hobby. At the moment I exist only to pick up her OMG BEAD! she drops, over and over again.
Sophia is quite a delicate little lady, at first glance. She likes to work on two beads at a time--a small one, trying to shove it into a larger one. She also likes to find OMG FABRIC! and delicately work the bead through a hole created by her very own beak. The only problem is that any fabric is fair game--my socks, my shirt, J's dress shirt, laundry on the bathroom floor. She carries the little bead with her, hidden under her tongue, and as soon as nobody's watching, she innocently sneaks toward a garment. Before you know it, tada! Hole! Or five! The only thing she's not so sneaky about are my socks--which she chases and chomps (especially when on my feet) with shameless determination. Little devil!
What use these habits serve in the wild is beyond my imagination, but it keeps them occupied, right? Gotta go--beads droppin' all around me...
ETA: Sadness is not being able to find my camera cord to take pictures of my parrots! :( :( :(
