My Weekend

I had such a wonderful weekend. I'd forgotten how much fun it is to hang out with girlfriends :-)

[livejournal.com profile] xeriah  and [livejournal.com profile] metamorpha666  came over Friday night and stayed through Sunday morning. We stayed up late talking and laughing... Sunday morning we made brunch. I made eggs (which C said she actually liked) and both of them made pancakes - some banana walnut and others raspberry chocolate. They were delicious! My mom was really nice to let us stay there.

On Saturday N and C got their dresses fitted and afterwards we picked out the flowers for the wedding. (Kinda long and boring, but at least it's over with now. My dad has super-good taste, and they are beautiful.) We watched Big Fish, which was actually not as good as I thought it would be.

Oh, also C and I convinced N to start a new LiveJournal Saturday morning. We told her we'd harass her if she didn't write regularly ;-) I'm looking forward to her entries.

Other than that, today is Monday, another day of work, so off I go to be a productive member of society! Less than seven weeks to the wedding...

Hooray! I'm so glad you had a nice girly weekend. I'm not so much of a girly girl, but every once in a while, it's a necessity!

I'm sorry you didn't like Big Fish as much as you thought you would. I LOVED it! In fact, I saw it twice in the theatre!

LOL. Don't insult them ;-) I don't think any of us would consider ourselves girly-girls. We usually hide from them. These two are dear friends I've picked up along the course of my life's journey. I met both of them about five years ago in community college.

Sometimes it's fun to hang out with people who are as quirky as me ;-) They're wonderful!

Big Fish I think I didn't like because I thought it was a different movie than it turned out to be. I thought it was fantasy (I saw the commercial with the man walking with the giant), but when it turned into a more realistic far-fetched story movie I was disappointed. I'm a big fan of Harry Potter and LotR so was hoping it'd be more like those...

I didn't mean it as an insult! I'm not a girly-girl either, but sometimes it's fun to act like onetemporarily! (You have to admit that a weekend-long sleepover sounds slightly girly! ha ha ha!)

I see what you mean about Big Fish and I'm sorry that it wasn't what you expected (stupid trailers!).

Oh, no worries! I was teasing you.

And yes, weekend-long sleepovers do sound girly-girl, I suppose, especially when topped with an untoppable brunch on Sunday morning...

We all live in different areas of Florida so it was fun to meet up at my mom's place. We'll have to do it more often :-)
