I am officially back in the land of the living!! They finally reimbursed me for my old computer (it's been what - a month now??) and I have a super-duper, bling-blinging Gateway 4540GZ with 80 gigs, 512RAM, 5.5 pounds, 15-inch ultrai-bright screen with centrino technology!

Go me! Go me! Go, go, go me!!

P.S. What kind did you get? What did your warranty people say about your water damage? They completely replaced mine - I only had to pay for a new warranty, hence the computer. Otherwise I think I would've gone for a less-expensive ones. They are freaking awesome these days!!!

Another HP b/c I loved my other HP so much :) It was only 256 MB, but we took out one of the other memory chips from the old laptop and put it in this one so it's now up to 512. The water damage, they said was going to cost at least $600 to repair (if it could be repaired at all... the guy sounded doubtful) and it'd take 3 wks to get it back which I absolutely could not wait that long just to find out whether or not it could even be fixed.

Oh, and you'll have to tell me how that Centrino technology works for you. ;)
