Dear Sophia,

Please stop flying onto my head. I do not like it when you mess up my hair (even if it's only a 30-second hair-do), and I'm nervous you will poop on my head. I do not need a life-size G2 headpiece. My hair is fine the way it is. I don't like other decorations--especially when they move and scream.

Also, when I demand that you get off, stop grounding your little claws tighter around my hair and ducking lower. You WILL come off. I am bigger than you and I control the treats. If you nip me again you'll be roast Cockatoo for dinner.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation on this matter.

LOLOLOLOL I just laughed reading this. WHY THE HEAD, WHY GOFFINS WHY? Especially when they need their nails done and it's like OW.

My Goffin has this habit of doing something reallllllllllly naughty and then he looks at you to see if you are mad..and if you are, he immediately puts his cheek against your hand or face and says "SORRY!" He knows it guarantees to soften the blow so I don't want to make him into dinner. He also loves to raise his voice and 'yell' in cockatoo-babble to people and imitate me if they do something he doesn't like, it's completely sad, he moves his head up and down and if that is how I look when I am mad....wow. :)

How do you deal with bird poops around the house?
Can a parrot be trained to use a bird-litter?

Sophie and Athie are both pretty good about going potty on their baskets or on command. Occasionally they forget, but generally they run to the basket to poop, and then they get a nut. So they like that.

If they miss, we have a Spot Bot carpet cleaner that cleans little spots, and we use it.
